Abstract

The RDA guidelines are published on the RDA Toolkit website, and in May 2027, the original version will be officially "closed," with the new version taking over entirely. After that time, only the new and updated RDA Toolkit will be accessible and usable as cataloging guidelines. It is therefore clear that the Gegnir libraries must soon begin work on implementing the new RDA guidelines and create an application profile. For this work to be successful, it is important that we have a good understanding of the conceptual foundation, the IFLA LRM model.
